Surfing the Cosmo Sex/Love articles and came across a goodie… Sex toys you’ve got to try. Okay. I know right… why wouldn’t a naughty erotic writer not read this article. Let me tell you, yes I learn something new today. I just may have to put some of these fun toys in my next book.
So here are a few of toys that were novel worthy.
Bondage tape, sicks to only itself and not to your skin or hair. This holds so many possibilities in my stories. Of course when I saw this, my thoughts went to the third book in my series and the underground sex and blood clubs. This will be a great way cover and reveal skin and veins.
Me Vibe ii
The next one, Me Vib, is interesting and could play nicely into a playfully naughty scene of stimulation. I’m still playing with the ideas, but I think it would interesting to see a scene where the male is pleasing the female or more to the point the female is stimulating herself while the hero is watching. Love when inspiration strikes.
Lavish Nipple Clamps
Nipple Clamps. This is interesting because of all the different varies you can get in Nipple Clamps. Resently, I used nipple clamps in a short vampire bondage erotic novella for my publisher. In the novella, I used the run of the mill silver nipple clamps. Wish I would have done a more little digging, because these would have put more depth to my character.
There were many more sex toys to read about. Some could work for my novels, some not so much. But it sure is fun to be inspired. 😉
For more Sex Toys you’ve gotta try, read more at Cosmopolitian. Happy reading on Cosmo Hump Day.

Yupp. Had to read Cosmo’s article: Why you need to have vampire sex. There was no hesitation with the mouse. I had to know what they thought of vampire sex would be like. I read through the 9 slides and most of it is in my book.
I do have controlling dominate women who wear red undies and rip off the clothes of those they desire. But I don’t have all that was mentioned in the article and, it did give me an idea of lighting some candles in a couple of the scenes. I did chuckle over the using teeth during oral. In my addicted to fang series,
teeth fangs are used a lot over sensitive areas. How else would they became addicted to fang with out trying them out?
What do you think vampire sex should be about? Drop a line, let me know. Since most of the vampire sex we’ve all seen is True Blood, and Twilight.

For the past few weeks, I’m finding myself surfing Cosmo’s website. It’s helping me define some of the sex scenes I’ve written so far in my WIP. This book is forcing me out my comfort zones. It’s my first true menage book. And it’s an erotic romance. Not only do I have to get all three together, they have to bond, form connections… true connections. These scenes have to move their relations, and the plot forward. I can’t just have it there, just for the fun of it. Right????
Right. So from time to time I’m take a deeper look into the mechanics of the sex scene trying to add that heightened emotion into it while amping up the sexual tension. I found some great ideas on Cosmo. I just finished a scene this past weekend when I checked out the Sex/Love section on Cosmo’s website. The article was Things to say in bed. Clicking through the seven slides, I hit one that screamed my characters. Adding a similar saying into the scene put that heightened tension into the scene. I can’t believe how simple one sentence can take the scene up so much.
Wow. So I’m creating my Cosmo Hump Day on the blog. Just for the little things in Cosmo that inspire me to take my scenes that extra distance. The articles remind me to add that extra bit of reality into the written fantasy.
Every now and then, my characters stand around twiddling their thumbs while saying… “I don’t know, whatcha wanna do?”
Errr, this can be beyond frustrating. Of course, this always seems to happen during the naughty sexy scenes. They need to get it on, the scene has built up to it, the tension is there, but they are just twiddling their thumbs. Talk about blue balls and empty cores.
Some things I do to help me out, because erotic romance is fantasy and mine deal with vampires. Hot and wild. A way for me to keep the scenes fresh and interesting is pulling out Cosmo. Yes, right, Cosmo. Believe it or not, the helps. Really.
Cosmo doesn’t tell me what to do, but gives me hot ideas that I can transform into steamy hot and oh-so-fun sex scenes. Right now, they are running a 30 things to do with a naked man.
After reading a few, I realize several of the thirty are already in my book. So now, I just need to pick a few that aren’t. And ohhh, it’s going to be fun. So far I like several of the 30 things.
I may have to add #1, #2 and #7 in the book or all three in one scene. What’s your favorite things to do with a naked man?
